This eye catching classic truck is both a project and a daily driver. I have been driving it daily for almost 3 years. It runs well and does well on the freeway. I drive it to and from work which is 6 miles each way, all freeway. I drive it down to Orange County now and then too. I have used it as a truck many times to pick up large items/appliances or move furniture, it works very well for this purpose. I am extremely sad to sell this truck but I have to out of necessity as I am about to have my first baby and need to get a family vehicle.
White exterior, Chrome bumpers, mirrors, & logos
Black interior - new bench seat with leather upholstery, new visors, new rubber floor mat/carpet, new overhead leather upholstery.
Registration is up to date. No smog needed.
The bed has a durable black coating in it (it is not the antique wood bed floor).
Automatic transmission - 350 engine / 350 tranny out of an early 70s Camaro.
Camaro front clip so it handles much better than if it was the original truck under carriage.
12 bolt rear end.
- Brand new rear shocks (installed this week).
- New brakes all around (90+% left on them).
- New master cylinder (installed this week).
- Truck tires with lots of tread left (<10k miles on them).
- Wheels have been powder coated a charcoal color.
- New battery (~ 6 weeks ago).
Within the last 2 years:
- Front Springs
- Front Shocks
- Added an emergency brake floor pedal
- New rubber & felt around all windows.
- Some of the window glass is new as well as the driver door window mechanism that moves it up and down.
- Float & other parts to the gas tank.
- Rear Bumper (I wanted the chrome one and I bought it without that one).
- All parts that make up windshield wipers and it's transmission assembly mechanism.
- Oil Pressure Gauge.
- Temperature Gauge.
- Many misc. parts - new transmission fluid and oil dip sticks and tubes, new valve covers, etc.
In addition to being a daily driver, this truck is also a fun project.
Below is what I would fix/update on her next if I were to keep the truck:
- The odometer and speedometer do not currently work, odometer is stuck on ~78k. The gas gauge does not work fully but tells you when full and shows a little less than 1/2 when empty.
- The only body damage is a small scuff area on the passenger door where I was recently side swiped in a parking lot.
- Motor mounts should be replaced.
- The paint looks great from a distance but some of the clear coat is pealing off when you look close.
- Several gaskets are leaking a little and should be replaced to fully seal all oil leaks.
I have spent 15k+ on this vehicle in the last couple years so please only contact me if you are a serious inquiry. Email with any questions or if you are interested in coming to take a look at the truck.
